Books about Phillipston

The Spirit of Phillipston documents the town’s history from the time when Indians summered in the area up to and including events in 2007. For three years, the authors diligently interviewed residents and researched archives, unearthing the stories and photographs they present in the book. Where photographs were not available, Joan Johnson provided illustrations.

In 2007 the Society published the book with help from a grant awarded to the Society by the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism.
