An Evening with Henry David Thoreau

A Living history interpretation of Thoreau’s life in 19th century Concord, Massachusetts.

Historian Richard Smith will portray Mr. Thoreau by reading selections from Thoreau’s essay “Walking” and responding in character to questions from the audience.

The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments following the program.

This program is offered by the Phillips Free Public Library and the Historical Society of Phillipston with generous funding from the Phillipston Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
